Dr. Hemelt is a board certified Ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience. A native of New Orleans, he moved to Slidell in 2000 when he joined Northlake Eye Center. Dr. Hemelt has practiced exclusively in St. Tammany for the past 23 years in private practice. He is trained to treat all eye disease and has a focus on General Ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery as well as Blepharoplasty eyelid surgery. He is a highly skilled surgeon and clinician. He diagnosis and treats all eye conditions. -
Martine Domangue, MD
Dr. Domangue, a native of Slidell, is a skilled Ophthalmic Surgeon and excellent clinician. Dr. Domangue graduated Cum Laude from Tulane University in 2014 where she received her Bachelor of Sciences Degree. She continued her higher level education at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans where she earned a Doctor of Medicine degree. She completed her training in Ophthalmology at LSU School of Medicine which included a rigorous 4 year training program. She is highly skilled at treating all eye conditions and has received extensive training in small incision cataract surgery, refractive eye surgery, advanced glaucoma treatments and age related eye disorders such as Age Related Macular Degeneration.
Throughout her training she has participated in many research activities and shared her outstanding surgical skills with those in need in communities abroad.
Away from the office, Dr. Domangue enjoys many outdoor activities such as diving, sailing, fishing and wakeboarding. -
Ross Kelt, OD
Dr. Ross Kelt is a greater New Orleans area native who went to Rummel High School in Metairie. He graduated from LSU with a degree in biological sciences in 2015. After graduating from LSU, Dr. Kelt served south Louisiana communities by working as the Technical Director at the Baton Rouge Regional Eye Bank. As Technical Director, he placed donor corneas to surgeons who performed corneal transplants and worked with families to honor their loved ones.
Dr. Kelt graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he completed multiple clinical rotations in pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, myopia management, vision therapy, dry eye, glaucoma, and surgical co-management. Dr. Kelt has a focus on ocular disease management, specialty contact lens, and pediatrics. He is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and American Optometric Association. He is a skilled and compassionate clinician who enjoys giving back to the community he was raised in.
In his free time Dr. Kelt enjoys fishing, hunting, swimming, and spending quality time with his wife and children.
